Opponents argue that Cuba is not a good place to visit because this is a communist country and they do not want to leave their money in this country. However, they only think about the government, and they do not think that many Cubans have jobs through tourism. Also, in this country the vacation price is cheaper than in other countries. It is not fair that because of a government system many people cannot enjoy all the wonders that this country has as.

Cuba is a country that for more than 50 years has had a communist and corrupt government system. Before 1959 Cuba was part of the United States, but after the triumph of the revolution in January 1st of 1959   communism started. What is the communism? This is a social ideology that is characterized to create a society without social classes and where private property does not exist. Then the working class has the power. This    looks great as theory, but when it is implemented it is totally different. This government system has deprived Cubans of their freedom of expression and has affected the different way of their culture. Some of the most common aspects of their culture that was affected are sports, religions, and education.

Sports in Cuba have been recognized as a sport power in the world. Boxing and baseball are more popular, but what happen with the athletes in Cuba? First Cuban athletes do not have a good alimentation while   they train for their sports. Sometimes they only have a glass of water with sugar and bread with croquette before they start their training. Second they lack many resources as; for example, the correct shoes for Athletics, a good bicycle for Cycling, or a simple leotard for gymnasts. Third all athletes around the world have the best salaries except Cuban athletes. The salary for all athletes range around $19.00 dollars per month. Only the athletes who win Olympic gold medals have the opportunities that have a better salary. For all these reasons Cuban athletes when they have the opportunity to go to another country to compete never come back.

On the other hand the religion is another important aspect that the government system affects. After the triumph of revolution in Cuba religion practices were restricted for many years. They prohibited all Cubans from practicing any religions. The government started a religious persecution. They created jails for religious people and homosexuals, and all people that practiced any religions like Catholicism were put in these jails together with homosexuals. Others were fired from their job just for visiting a church. Also they visited all houses and threw away saints and burned bibles. For these reasons many Cubans never were baptized.

The education is another aspect of the culture that was affected by communism. In Cuba the education is free, but with many conditions. The students need to be revolutionary if they want to obtain good jobs, or go to a university after they graduate. They need to attend all political speeches like it or not. Furthermore the schools have terrible conditions, and the teachers and students lack many necessities. Teachers and students do not have computers or any technology. Sometimes they do not have pencils and notebooks.

In many forms the government system in Cuba has affected Cubans, their culture, and their country. Cubans do not have freedom of expression. If any person says in public that they disagree with the government, and then this person is maltreated, beaten, and jailed for many years. Cuba had the same president for many years. This country does not have elections, and Cubans cannot change or choose their president. This government system has forced Cubans to Immigrate to other countries as the only solution of all the problems that communism has caused in their life. This communism government has been on the more dictatorial regime and its president is one of the cruelest tyrants in history.
